Pre Professional Company Dancers

Nevada Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Company is for hard working, dedicated young dancers, of an advanced level, who are looking for a career in dance, whether they choose to dance professionally in a dance company or to participate in dance at the university level. If you are 12 years and older and interested in being considered for the Pre-Professional Company, please contact Nevada Dance Company. Auditions will take place in August. 

 

 

What will this entail?

 

• Saturday company class form 9-11 (Free for company members, rehearsals from September - April from 11-5pm)

• Nutcracker 

• Spring concert - 2-3 performances in April dancing alongside professional dancers

• Outreach and fundraising events 

• Regional Dance America Festival (includes 6 master classes, dancer seminars, dancer party, gala banquet and two performances)

 

 

Expectations of Company Members

 

• Available for Company class and rehearsals, Friday evenings (Nutcracker season only) and Saturdays 9am-5pm. This will begin mid September and end after the Spring performance. 

• Must take a minimum of two ballet classes per week and one contemporary/lyrical class at your current studio, plus Saturday company class

• Must be available for outreach and fundraising events.

Fee’s

 

• Nutcracker -estimate $400 (due fall)

• NVDC Company Member Jacket - $60 (due fall)

• Nevada Dance Company commitment fee - $200 (due January)

• Regional Dance America - $299 (due March)​
